The telephone assessors will discuss with you the best way
to help you. You may be an offered an appointment, a telephone call back
by an adviser, information or they may suggest other organisations that
may be more appropriate to help you with your enquiry. Calls are charged at a low cost rate,
but calls from a mobile may vary. There may be times when the lines will
be busy, but we will try our best to answer your call as quickly as
possible.
The Helpline also gives 24 hour access to a menu of helpful
information.

The
reception area is open from 9.45am to 3.00pm
We will
see clients on a first come first served basis.
Clients will be offered a 10 minute interview with our assessors
on MONDAYS, TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS between 9.45am and 2.30pm,
and on THURSDAY MORNINGS between 9.45am and 12 pm. THIS SERVICE
WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT THESE TIMES.
The nature
of the problem will be assessed, information will be provided and/or an
appropriate appointment will be made at another time.
Where an
appointment is necessary, it may be face to face or by means of a telephone
call back from an adviser, if suitable.
Alternatively,
we may offer you information or suggest other organisations that may be
more appropriate to help you with your enquiry.
In
addition, our receptionists can help you find information, leaflets and
factsheets that may answer your question.
The
service is available to people who live, work or study in the London
Borough of Barnet.

The bureau reception services open at 9.00 a.m. on Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday. Times are allocated soon after 9am for interviews
between 10am and 2.30pm.

Following an interview you may then be offered an
appointment or a telephone consultation with an adviser, some printed
information, or given details of other organisations who may better be
able to help you. (Wednesdays and Fridays this service will be
unavailable).
On WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS, the reception area will be
open from 9.45am to 12.30pm where our receptionist can help
you find leaflets, fact sheets and other printed information that might
answer your query.
