Admin Support Worker
ADMIN SUPPORT WORKER ROLE DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the role:
As an admin worker, you will be expected to support the ABP team and carry out general back office duties. You will also assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the bureau, ABP helpline service and regularly manage and update client files. You will also be answering e-mails, taking messages and creating spreadsheets and databases to store client records in respect of all aspects of Barnet CAB’s service delivery, including the recruitment and training of volunteers.
Responsible to: ABP Project Manager / Barnet CAB Service Managers / Training Supervisor
Personal skills and qualities an admin worker needs:
- Flexibility
- Good telephone manner
- An ability to cope in a very busy office environment
- Experience with general administrative duties including filing, data inputting and word processing
- Good IT skills including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel and e-mail systems.
- Good file management
- An ability to arrange events
- Good organisation skills
- A proven track record in administrative work
- An ability to set up and input information on databases.
Training:
A short period of training and induction will be given at the ABP office and at Barnet CAB bureau.
