BARNET CAB MACMILLAN WELFARE BENEFITS PROJECT

In June 2011 we begin delivering a new service - funded by Macmillan Cancer Support - for people affected by cancer in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. 

We provide welfare benefits advice and information to hospital inpatients, outpatients and their families and carers at Barnet General, Chase Farm Hospital, North London Hospice, North Middlesex Hospital and Cherry Lodge.

We also act as a resource for staff in relation to their patients.

The service is provided by three welfare benefits caseworkers and one welfare benefits support worker.

If you are a person affect by cancer in Barnet, Enfield or Haringey and need advice relating to welfare benefits or money issues you can access the service by calling the Project Helpline on 020 8440 4227.
 
We also accept referrals from the Macmillan Information Centre at Barnet General and from clinical nurse specialists as well as local GP’s and Citizens Advice Bureau.

All outreach clinics take place in the mornings.
